1. What kind of glue is best for the wallpapers?
Local conditions vary so greatly, as well as the uses. The rolls can be used as wallpaper, but also as an application for furniture and accessories. We recommend you consult your local adhesive experts or your Do-It-Yourself shop and follow their advice for your area and purpose.
2. What about colour differences?
What we offer are natural products, and one thing is very sure - colours will vary. How the basic materials grow is very dependent on climatic conditions (was it a cold year? abnormally wet? how much sunlight did they get? ) There will also be small differences in the material itself (where were the knodes? how large were they? how long was the vine? where did it come from?) The small colour differences in the natural materials is a very big part of its charm!
As some materials are also subject to dye baths, we see the normal variations from one bath to another - in any case it is very important to check the lot numbers - this will tell you which rolls were made in the same bath or in consequent baths for the grassweave wallpapers.
3. And irregularities?
Yes you will see these too. Remember our products are handmade (completely or in part) and/or handwoven. The craftspeople are very skilled, but it is handwork. As with the natural colour differences - a part of the charm.
